Note that Capsim Foundation (Green color) is different from Capsim Capstone (Orage), also different from GlobalDNA (Red color game) and you may notice that also different from CompXM (purple colour).
Capsim Foundation, as its name suggests, is just simpler than Capsim Capstone, Global DNA.
Capsim Foundation provide only 2 market segment, Low Tech and High Tech (for as many as five products)
It has 8 rounds, Low Tech and High Tech products, start with only one product, we can add new products in rounds eg. each round add 1 more product until we have 4 or even 5 products in 2 segments.
We can sill apply all Winning Guides and Tips for Capsim Capstone for Capsim Foundation and Win the game.
For first round, we have only low tech products, we can set price so that it can be sold in both segments.
We can create one new product in High Tech or Low Tech in round 1
Keep selling first products in two segments in round 1, and round 2.
From round 3, sell in their target segments with good Pfmn, Size and Prices.
Should create 3 more products, so will have 4 products, two in each segments, then can get better sales and better control both segments. (If we do not add new products, competitors still do so).
Note that each game is generated differently, so we need to download Industry Condition Report, check Round 0 to get numbers for calculating all rounds ideal spot, Pfmn and Size for R&D of all 8 rounds.
Should use excel file to calculate all round more conveniently.
QUICK GUIDES TO WIN CAPSIM FOUNDATION 2018
STEP 1. Create Excel file to support all calculation for 8 rounds

Add numbers from Round 0 to Excel file
STEP 2. Start with R&D table
Use Excel file to add new products in round 1, round 2 and round 3.
They will start selling well from round 4 to lead the game in both sales and net profit all rounds from 6 to 8
Round 1-2-3 will have good sales but lower net profit due to strong investment in new product, R&D, Production capacity expansion and Promo and Sales.
STEP 3. Set Marketing decisions
Check Courier report
Use Excel file to keep track of prices for all 8 rounds
Check competitors prices to set price more competitive
Reduce prices by USD 0.50 each round to keep product more competitive
STEP 4. Set Production decisions
Add more capacity for new products
Increase automation to save cost
STEP 5. SET HR decisions
Use max USD 5.000 for recruitment and 80 hours of training
For round 1-2 if we like to have good net profit, we can use lower of USD 3.000 and 40 hours of training, round 1, 2 still have low net profit. From round 3 to 8 can apply max USD 5.000 and 80 hours.
STEP 6. Set Finance decisions
For round 1-2-3 apply max 2 sources of investment, issuing stock and long term debts.
Round 4-5 need only long term loans
Round 6 do not need either sources
Round 7-8 can retire stocks and long term loans, because of having high sales, high net profit and much cash in hand.
STEP 7. Set TQM decisions if any
Apply all the ten TQM initiatives when TQM are enabled
Use USD 1.000 for each round until total reach USD 4.000 (max)
STEP 8. Check Proforma Report for estimated results.
TIPS:
- Use excel file for all 8 rounds
- Need to calculate Sales forecast for each round based on sold units from report of last round
- Check growth rate each round
- Also keep track of competitors (computers or class mates): their prices, new products, more or less in Low Tech or High Tech segments
